Banned IPs

• If you have problems with visitors posting or using obscenities in the discussions or chat rooms, you can ban them from visiting the site. Or if someone purchasing products from your site used a stolen credit card, you can also ban them from returning to the site.
• Keep in mind that it only bans the IP address. If the visitor goes through a different provider and has a different IP address, it would not recognize the user. Also, there might be several users who come to the site with the same IP address. Banning the IP address keeps all visitors from using that IP address.

Banning an IP Address

To ban an IP address, follow these steps:

1. On the side menu pane, locate and click the Community menu. The menu expands to display a list of links.
2. Click the Banned IPs link. This will display the Banned IPs page.
3. To add a new Banned IP, click the Add New IP link on the top right of the page.
4. Enter the IP address.
5. Enter a Comment.
6. Click Save.
