To enable the membership feature the Join Configuration options must be specified and published. To configure the membership features there are four "forms" that are specified. The Join Configuration main page contains links to edit and preview each of the forms. The main page also contains a check box field to enables the front end join functionality.
The four forms that configure the membership are described below.
Demographics - Creates the member profile. The profile is created by selecting form fields. Fields can be created and added to the form. Field properties including label text, help text, user modified, searchable and active can be specified for each field. The demographics page also contains links to create content areas that can be customized for each page of the join process.
Password - The password form provides links to content areas that are associated with the password pages. The page also provides a check box that enables members to join on the public website if it is selected.
Member Directory - The member directory form provides links to configure content areas that are associated with the member directory pages. Member directory join option can be specified for the site. Options include, no member directory feature, member selection (whether or not they want to participate) or automatic enrollment in the directory. There are also field properties for each field in the profile that define display options.
Thank You - The thank you form provides a link to the area that contains the content that will be displayed after the join page is submitted.
