Labels

Labels are used for field names that you are not creating for yourself. An example of this is User Name and Password next to textboxes for login pages.  xCatalyst uses labels instead of hard coding English language into the code base. This enables xCatalyst to maintain it’s multi-lingual capabilities and gives our clients the flexibility to change field label names to match their business processes terminology.

Used in:

• Login page
• Search page
• Website membership

Here are the steps to modify the label:
1) Go to the WWW environment
2) Under Content Management, click Labels
3) In "Enter text to Search" type in the label that you would like to edit from the front end. Ex. First Name
4) Check off "Return Global Labels"
5) Click Search
6) Click Edit
7) Edit the content in English Label Text
8) Save

The label will automatically display your changes on the front end
